Kiss My Aspen
April 10th, 2026 - May 3rd, 2026
Kiss My Aspen marks a meaningful turning point for The Lab on Santa Fe—our first exhibition dedicated entirely to nature. Centered on Colorado’s landscape, the show gathers artists responding to the quiet presence, scale, and atmosphere of the natural world that surrounds us.
Juried by Raven Rohrig and Rick Dallago, the exhibition brings together a wide range of voices and approaches while maintaining a shared attention to place. While the title nods to Colorado’s iconic aspen trees—and a few appear within the exhibition—the show ultimately opens a broader reflection on land, environment, and the ways artists translate nature into visual form.
As The Lab continues to evolve, Kiss My Aspen signals an expansion in focus—an inclusive invitation for artists to engage directly with the landscapes that shape life in Colorado.

F. Scott Fitzgerald once said "The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function." The Lab on Santa Fe is asking for artists to submit work taking this quote into consideration. For example, are you able to bring a sense of utter beauty into your work combined with a shadow side as well? Can you walk the line between reverence and irreverence within one piece? We would like to feel a sense that your work has continuous depth and that you are able to hold a viewers attention for more than just a few moments. The Lab on Santa Fe is right in the Heart of the Santa Fe Art District in Downtown Denver. Thousands of people attend our First Friday Art Crawls as well as many serious buyers who come through on regular Saturdays and Sundays.
